Impedance models in time domain

چکیده
2 Introduction We use throughout the e+iωt convention. Acoustic liners are usually described in frequency domain by their impedance. If we use a numerical method in time domain, this is to be translated into an equivalent relation. This is not straightforward. For example, it is principally not possible for an non-real impedance to retain this value for all frequencies. We have to extend the impedance as a function in the complex frequency. This requires certain specific conditions. If these are not obeyed, the impedance would be physically impossible. This would manifest itself by, for example, non-physical instabilities. It is remarkable that only relatively recently the frequency dependence of the liner was left unnoticed in a stability analysis in frequency domain [1].

Dynamic Harmonic Analysis of Long Term over Voltages Based on Time Varying Fourier series in Extended Harmonic Domain
Harmonics have become an important issue in modern power systems. The widespread penetration of non-linear loads to emerging power systems has turned power quality analysis into an important operation issue under both steady state and transient conditions. This paper employs an Extended Harmonic Domain (EHD) based framework for dynamic analysis of long term analysis over voltages during the tra...

Conventional fault location methods using voltages and currents of one terminal are not applicable to multiterminal transmission lines. So far some techniques have been presented to solve fault location problem for multi-terminal transmission lines. In these methods, lumped or distributed frequency domain models of transmission lines have been used. In multi terminal lines, faulty section shoul...

Resonances can have negative impact on a Voltage Source Converter-High Voltage DC (VSC-HVDC) system. This paper develops dc impedance models for the rectifier and inverter stations for a VSC-HVDC system when they are viewed from a dc terminal. The impedance models take converter controllers into account. The derived impedance models are validated by comparing frequency responses of the analytic...
متن کاملUWB Planar Conical Horn-Shaped Self-Complementary Bow-Tie Antenna
An ultra-wideband (UWB) self-complementary planar bow-tie antenna (SCPBTA) is proposed. The antenna consists of a printed conical horn-shaped (CHS) radiator and a counterpart CHS slot etched on a rectangular ground plane. The printed CHS radiator is connected directly to the 50Ω microstrip line by bending the end portion of the feed line. As a result, the antenna has a simple structure which do...
متن کاملCoupling of a time domain boundary element method to compliant surface models
The Boundary Element Method (BEM) can be used to predict the scattering of sound in rooms. It reduces the problem of modelling the volume of air to one involving only the surfaces; hence the number of unknowns scales more favourably with problem size and frequency than it does for volumetric methods such as FEM and FDTD. The time domain BEM predicts the transient scattering of sound, and is usu...
